This pattern is used to comment on a
statement. So is used to comment in
positive sentences (1, 2, 3) and neither used to comment in negative
sentences (4, 5). The pattern So + A.V + S can be replaced by this
pattern S + A.V + Too ( My father is, too; Her sister has, too).
While the pattern Neither + A.V + S
can be replaced by this pattern S + A.V
+ (Negative) + Either (I don’t,
either; our teacher won’t, either).
SHORT CONVERSATIONS:
A : My mother is a career woman.
