This pattern is Pattern with Modals. Modals are auxiliaries which gives additional meaning in a sentence. Pattern with Will or Shall is called Present Future Tense (Verbal). Verb-I used in verbal sentence while Be used in nominal sentence. Sentence patterns with Modals can be used to express a plan (1, 2), ability (3), obligation (4), possibility (5), conclutions (6), suggesstions (7), permission (8), prohibition (9), inability (10). In question sentence, Could and Would can used to express polite request, e.g Could you help me? Would you open the window, please?

SHORT CONVERTATIONS:

A       : May I come to your house tonight, Lisa?

B       : Of course, you may. But you should wait untill nine pm.

A       : Why?

B       : Because your brother will come to my house, too.

A       : Could you come this afternoon at three o’clock?
