This pattern is also called Present Countinuous Tense (Verbal) and used to explain situation / continuous activity (1, 2, 4). Adverb of this pattern are now, right now, Look!, Listen!, for the time being, in this periode. This pattern is also used to explain plans or activities will be undertaken in the near future (3, 5) with adverb, such as this evening, and tonight.

SHORT CONVERSATIONS:
A          : What are you looking for?
B          : I am looking for my pen.

A          : Are you going to somewhere tomorrow?
B          : Yes, my family and me are going to National Garden Bogor.

A          : What are you talking about?
B          : We are talking about yesterday test.

A          : Who are you calling?
B          : I am calling my old friend.

A          : Hi, Rina, How are you doing?
B          : I am fine, thanks. Where are you going?
A          : Over to Jerry’s.

WHERE ARE YOU WORKING NOW?
Eka      : Say En! How are you doing?
Eny      : Eko! Hey, how are you?
Eka      : Not bad. Long time, no see.
Eny      : Yeah, it must be close to three years.
Eka      : What are you doing here?
Eny      : I am waiting for my friend.
Eka      : Where are you going?
Eny      : We are going to campus. How about you?
Eka      : I am still waiting for the bus.
Eny      : Are you going to work?
Eka      : Yes, I am.
Eny      : Are you still working at Insurance Company?
Eka      : No, I am not.
Eny      : Why?
Eka      : The salary is poor.
Eny      : Where are you working now?
Eka      : I am working at the Bank, How about you, Eny?
Eny      : I am studying in Indonesia Univercity.
Eka      : What are you majoring?
Eny     : I am majoring English Department. Sorry the bus is coming. I must be going now.
Eko     : Until the next time.
Eny     : See you.
